授業目標

Chemical reaction engineering is concerned with the exploitation of chemical reactions. It's goal is the successful design and operation of chemical reactors including bioreactors. Especially, biological reaction engineering will be learned.

授業の概要

This course especially deals biocatalysts including enzymes and microorganisms, reactions with biocatalysts, and heterogeneous reaction systems. Objectives of the course are understandings of their catalysts, reactions, and reaction processes. Furthermore, development of useful biocatalysts by engineered method and bioengineering technique will be dealt.

Introduction, Biocatalysts, Reaction mechanism and kinetics, Biochemical reaction and process, Growth kinetics, and Bioprocess engineering

成績評価

Evaluation will be based on the score of submitted reports and presentations. Achievement of 60% or more is considered acceptable (C or more).
